Cabaret Night with Fascinating Aida's Issy van Randwyck
British theatre and recording star, Issy van Randwyck and her pianist Jason Carr tops the bill at this month's special Cabaret Night to celebrate a year of cabaret in Maidenhead, at Norden Farm on Saturday 21 April at 7.45pm.
Issy has straddled the world of cabaret, moistening pallets from Ayres Rock to the Wembley Conference Centre. She is currently appearing at The Watermill Theatre, Newbury, performing in Somerset Maugham’s scathing comedy For Services Rendered and recently illuminated the West End with her Dirty Dancing at the Aldwych Theatre. Her other London musical performances include A Little Night Music and Kiss me Kate (Nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a Musical Laurence Olivier Awards) at the Open Air Theatre, Regents Park.
As well as performing as a solo artist Issy has worked with Larry Adler from 1991 until his death 2001, performing in the UK, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Belgium and Barbados. She made up one third of Fascinating Aida from 1993-1999, performing in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Berlin and New York and Nominated twice for Best Entertainment in 1995 and 2000 – Laurence Olivier Awards. Issy works with pianist/composer Jason Carr who regularly accompanies stars such as Maria Friedman and Michael Ball.
James Church has compiled an electric mix of past and future Cabaret Night performers to fill part one of this evening; those who have already agreed to participate are Charles Luxford, Margaret Probyn, Eve MacDonald, Helen Clark, Alison Gurney, Tanya Vasey, Bruce Walcroft, Naomi Charles and Andrea Tushingham.
