Joanna MacGregor performs a ‘Celebrity Recital’ at Norden Farm on Saturday 25 April at 7.30pm. When Joanna last brought her piano magnificence to Norden Farm in 2007, the show was a sell-out success. Tickets are £17 (£16 conc), £15 (£14 conc) and £5 under 16s.

Also, on the morning of the recital at 11am, Joanna will lead a masterclass with six local budding pianists, who have been specially selected to take part. This is a chance for young musicians to learn from the best and is an absorbing and fascinating event to watch. Tickets are available to observe the masterclass for £5, it is FREE to evening ticket holders.

Joanna MacGregor has pursued a life connecting many genres of music defying categorizations. She has performed in over sixty countries often appearing as a solo artist with many of the world's leading orchestras. Her experience in the world of chamber music is wide and various - she has curated concerts at many distinguished venues, made her conducting debut in 2002 and regularly directing her own orchestral projects.

In 1998 she founded her own record label, SoundCircus. As a recording artist herself, Joanna has made 15 solo recordings for Collins Classics and has appeared many times on television, including presenting the ten-part series Strings, Bows and Bellows, which has been shown worldwide.

Her interest in education is reflected in a series of music books for young children written for Faber, Piano World, hailed as 'a new series for the Millennium'. Thus, she regularly gives masterclasses both in UK and abroad and was appointed Professor at Liverpool Hope University 2006-7.
