Our annual family arts festival returns for the Spring holiday!

Quest Family Fest is a fun packed two weeks of events to get involved in and be inspired by.

Explore on Friday 19 April is crammed full of one hour workshops for everyone aged from 5 – 11+ years and families. Each workshop gives you the chance to discover new worlds and have a go at exciting activities such as Circus Skills, Magic and Chocolate Making.

Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company brought us the hit show The Elves and the Shoemaker for Christmas 2016. Now they’re bring their new show The Enormous Turnip.

Their re-potted version of this world-famous and much loved children’s story is full of their trademark unswerving energy, eccentric puppetry and live music. Catch it twice daily from Monday 8 April – Friday 12 April.

Throughout the holiday there are live events including the return of well-known children’s illustrator Nick Sharratt in Nick Sharratt’s Right Royal Draw-Along. Draw along with this acclaimed children’s writer and illustrator as he shows you how to sketch favourite characters like Tracey Beaker and Timothy Pope on Monday 15 April at 11.30am and 2pm.

Get into the groove on our Studio dance floor with our all new Family Silent Disco! All ages can join in the fun on Sunday 14 April at 2pm. Or you can join us for a reel and a jig at the Family Ceilidh on Sunday 7 April, where a live band will take you through easy to learn dance steps for some afternoon fun!

On Tuesday 16 April introduce little ones to The Beatles with Singalong Concertini with the R ‘n’ Beatles and get the whole family dancing, singing or just chilling on our bean bags. The 11.30am concert is ideal for families with babies and toddlers or children with SEND.

Using the brilliant book by Pippa Goodhart and Nick Sharratt as inspiration, and through a series of games and challenges, You Choose gives you the chance to come up with a unique story, with different characters every time! Nonsense Room Productions bring us this great interactive show on Wednesday 17 April at 11.30am.

Chicken Licken brings a recipe of food, puppets and music following the adventures of a growing chick and her encounters with a hungry fox. Don’t miss this fun trilogy of classic tales on Thursday 18 April.

Other highlights of Quest Family Fest include Make a Play in Three Days; Art Daze arts and crafts club; learning routines in Next Steps: Dance Intensive; daily Storytelling in our magical story den; and some great family films like How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World; Captain Marvel; and The LEGO Movie 2:The Second Part.
