West End Star Beverley Klein Performs This Weekend's Cabaret

This month award-winning pianist James Church will introduce special guest, Beverley Klein, supported by Bruce Walcroft and Phaedra Ashford on Saturday 22 November at 7.45pm.

Beverley Klein will be performing an evening of her favourite music: a personal take on some old favourites and a few stories with a twist. From Piaf to show tunes, to Music Hall, including songs by Harold Arlen, Rodgers and Hart, William Bolcom and Arnold Weinstein, Stephen Sondheim, Kurt Weill and Nic Bloomfield. Beverley is well-known to theatre audiences across the country from her appearances with the National Theatre including Honk! The Ugly Duckling, Candide, Summerfolk and Romeo and Juliet; she was in the original cast of Les Miserables and appeared in A Judgement In Stone for Neil Bartlett and Nicolas Bloomfield's company, Gloria, and as an acclaimed Mrs Lovett in Opera North's production of Sweeney Todd. She has recently appeared at the Lyric Hammersmith in Camille. Bruce is a Norden Farm regular, having performed his own Cabaret Night last November and appeared in And the World Goes Round. Bruce has led a number of local musicals, such as The Boy Friend and Anything Goes. He'll be singing a stylish selection of both modern and classic show tunes, along with singer Phaedra Ashford. Tickets cost £10.50 (£8.50 conc) and are available from the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts Box Office on 01628 788997 or online under 'What's On'.
