CalleJondo - The Flamenco Dance, Music & Singing Show

An exciting new flamenco show which takes you on a journey from the purest flamenco traditions to contemporary fusion.

Artistic directors Rebeca, Martín and Josie met while performing in the streets of Seville. Drawn together by a mutual interest in learning from the others’ varied artistic backgrounds, they soon united and began performing together.

WHY? Flamenco traditions are infused with contemporary influences and the power of street arts – making for a truly unforgettable experience

Oysland

Oysland celebrate the influence other cultures have had on the secular Ashkenazi musical tradition.

They reimagine music from times past, exploring the connections between Klezmer and other co-territorial traditions. Drawing on the Polish and Slovakian roots of its band members, they delve into century-old lullabies, exuberant wedding dances and peculiar hay-making stories.

Summer Ceilidh - Barn Dance

You’ll be in safe hands with the expert calling and playing from our band Nedron’s Jig.

Between them they play squeezebox, fiddle, mandola and bass. The four musicians consist of two from the folk super-group Feast of Fiddles and two from the band Phungus.

WHY? A social evening of dance in our atmospheric 18th century Long Barn - no experience necessary!

Ma Bessie (Julia Titus) and her Blues Troupe

Nicknamed the ‘Empress of the Blues’, Bessie Smith was the most popular female blues singer of the 1920s and 1930s.

The show chronicles her life from a one-room shack in Blue Goose Hollow, to becoming the highest-paid black entertainer of that time, to the tragic accident on Route 61 in September 1937 that ended her life aged 43 years.

Ma Bessie (Julia Titus) is joined on stage by her Blues Troupe - internationally renowned drummer Sam Kelly, with musical director Paul Jobson (piano), Tony Qunta (acoustic guitar), Marianne Windham (upright bass), Clare Hirst (sax/clarinet) and Kevin Davy (trumpet).

WHY? A narrated show featuring music from the era and showcasing many of Bessie's songs

Rob Tognoni

Australian guitarist Rob Tognoni is fiery, energetic, inventive and explosive.

His roots are from blues, blues rock and classic rock - adding many other colours to the palate to give him his sound and uniqueness. He has opened for the greats including Roy Buchanan, Joe Walsh from the Eagles, and shared stages with Peter Green, Sting and Bo Diddley. His shows are a true experience not to be missed.
