Case 137 (12A)
French with English subtitles.
Nominated for eight César Awards and winner of Best Actress for Léa Drucker, Dominik Moll’s tense, charged thriller explores the fall-out from police brutality during the 2018 gilet-jaunes protests in France.
Against an incendiary backdrop of mass unrest, internal affairs investigator Stéphanie (Léa Drucker) is working on the case of a teenager severely wounded by police fire.
But pressure mounts as her inquiry meets with institutional resistance, and the case takes a personal turn when she discovers the victim is from her hometown.
'Léa Drucker is superb… A crime drama performed and crafted with this level of care and social resonance is well worth investigating' ★★★★ Time Out
