Would you like to learn how to crochet? Join us for an online beginners crochet class - grab your hook, grab your yarn and let's learn how to crochet.
This is an interactive session where you will learn:
Sophie will demonstrate the basic techniques, provide individual and group support and answer any questions you have.
Please ensure you have a crochet hook and yarn available for the class.

The classes will take place via a video stream on Zoom where you'll be able to use the camera and audio on your tablet, laptop or other device to see and hear the tutor and other participants.
You simply need to book on to your class or workshop of choice as normal by the cut off time. We'll then send you an email with a link to your session, password and a meeting ID. These will be emailed to you after the booking cut off time, shortly before the class begins.

Building on our devising skills from last term we will begin to develop our understanding of ensemble in performance. Using extracts from published texts we will use these as a starting point to create our own original Youth Theatre ensemble performance in the Spring.

Amanda Schenk is the visual artist behind Norden Farm's much-loved (and Instagrammed) glass corridor artwork in the school holidays. Join Amanda for this new drawing course, aimed at helping to create a sense of calm and relaxation through drawing patterns.
Suitable for all abilities, the workshops will focus on building confidence in your drawing abilities - concentrating on the soothing journey of the drawing experience, rather than the finished drawing.
In each session you'll explore how to produce different types of patterns in abstract drawings - looking at different designs each week.
You will need: paper (plain, no smaller than A5), lead pencil, eraser, sharpener, black fine liner or a pen. Optional is a black marker.

Feeling the need to wind down and relax, have a little bit of time to yourself? Come along and enjoy some yoga and relaxation with Julie. Practice gentle spinal movements to relax and rejuvenate the nervous system, basic yogic breathing techniques and guided meditations.
These classes are suitable for everyone, with or without previous yoga experience. Please bring a blanket, a yoga/pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Watercolour and/or pastel
Explore floral works by a very different artist each week and then produce either your own version of one of their works or your own composition, but in the spirit of the artist.
The chosen artists are: Manet, Odile Redon, Van Gogh, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Emil Nolde, Georgia O’Keefe
Please bring your own reference, either live flowers and a pot for them or a photographic reference. We may not be able to share flowers.
Please bring your own materials and equipment.

This course is intended as an introduction to calligraphy, both formal and modern. You will learn techniques to help develop writing skills and an appreciation of design elements.
You can book to take part live at Norden Farm (places are limited) or online via Zoom.

Students to provide their own materials: Good quality smooth cartridge paper or similar A4 or larger; HB pencil. Ruler and eraser; Broad edge 2mm or larger calligraphy fountain pen plus ink or cartridges (Manuscript or William Mitchell recommended); 3.8mm Pilot Parallel pen if possible.
