Drawing Trees 2: in pencil and washes of watercolour and/or dilute ink

Photo reference supplied or bring your own, preferably of a tree or group of trees you know well.
We’ll reference works by John Ruskin, Samuel Palmer and Paul Nash.
Please bring your own materials, see info below;
Bring well sharpened pencils one HB or F and a softer one, watercolours and palette, a tube of white gouache if working on a tinted paper
Brushes to include a large brush, a small brush, and a “rigger” and a “flat” brush if you have one. If you have any special brushes like a “rake” or a “dagger” bring them; Jo will have a variety of brushes for you to try at the session as they can be useful for foliage and texturing tree trunks.
Watercolour paper cold pressed or hot pressed (hot pressed is good if you wish to work in fine detail). Some paper will be available from the tutor at cost.
Drawing board, small block of wood or table easel, tape to attach your paper, paper towel.
