Every Object tells a Story

This will be a more personal take on still life composition inspired by objects that have a special meaning for us.  We may also look at a couple of poems about objects for inspiration.  Please bring your own objects, just 2 or 3.  The tutor will bring some poetry and objects. We will look at techniques for depicting surface patterns and texture.

Please bring your own materials as indicated below
- Preferred medium (watercolour and/or gouache)
- Cold pressed watercolour paper (or hot pressed if working in detail at a small scale)
- Sketchbook or small cartridge paper
- Brushes
- A small natural sponge
- White wax crayon or wax candle
- Pencil
- Perhaps a couple of coloured pencils
- Craft knife or pencil sharpener
- Palette
- Water Pots
- Drawing board and block of wood or table easel
- Clips or tape to attach paper
- Paper towel
