This session should be fun for you and your little ones, please support where necessary and ensure that children are always supervised during the class.


How do our online classes work?

The classes will take place via a video stream on Zoom where you'll be able to use the camera and audio on your tablet, laptop or other device to see and hear the tutor and other participants.

You simply need to book on to your class or workshop of choice as normal by the cut off time. We'll then send you an email with a link to your session, password and a meeting ID. These will be emailed to you after the booking cut off time, shortly before the class begins.

Zen Drawing (online)

Led by Amanda Schenk

Amanda Schenk is the visual artist behind Norden Farm's much-loved (and Instagrammed) glass corridor artwork in the school holidays. Join Amanda for this new drawing course, aimed at helping to create a sense of calm and relaxation through drawing patterns.

Suitable for all abilities, the workshops will focus on building confidence in your drawing abilities - concentrating on the soothing journey of the drawing experience, rather than the finished drawing.

In each session you'll explore how to produce different types of patterns in abstract drawings - looking at different designs each week.

You will need: paper (plain, no smaller than A5), lead pencil, eraser, sharpener, black fine liner or a pen. Optional is a black marker.

Led by Caroline Crawford

Drawing inspiration from art traditions from around the world - Asia to South America, Russia to Africa we will create bold and colourful images with a variety of different materials and techniques.

The Magic Lamp

The story of a blessed and beautiful boy who, through serendipity alone, ends up with a lamp-dwelling genie at his disposal.

Played out in a Bedouin tent with a set filled with billowing silken drapes, this bewitching shadow play is told using light, paper and oil.

From these simplest of ingredients, theatre company indefinitearticles conjures up fantastical characters, shimmering transformations - souks, caves, palaces and deserts choreographed to original music.

Oldilocks and the 3 Bears

The first of three shows coming to the Norden Farm stage for Christmas 2020.

Oldilocks finds a teddy bear in the park and remembers a delicious bowl of porridge she tasted years ago in the woods. Something else happened but she can’t quite remember what… so she sets off for the forest.

Join Oldilocks as she sets off for another adventure followed by a scruffy old pigeon. Will she find the bears' house and what will happen then?

A wonderfully funny and warmhearted celebration of the classic story, starring a naughty old lady who looks very familiar… and 3 funny bears who love their breakfast.

Expect to be spellbound by lovingly crafted puppets, music and some steaming bowls of porridge!

The latest show from Garlic Theatre, who have previously brought Eggs on Legs, Three Billy Goats Gruff and Three Little Pig Tails to Norden Farm.

The Magic Porridge Pot and Other Tasty Tales

The second of three shows coming to the Norden Farm stage for Christmas 2020.

Can YOU catch that slippery little biscuit, the Gingerbread Man? You’ll need a big bowl of porridge first to keep your energy up. Don’t worry if you haven’t had yours this morning, Granny Grinpickle’s Magic Porridge Pot has made enough for everyone!

These two tasty tales which you know so well are served with unexpected spices and quirky flavours, along with Widdershins’ trademark ingredients of puppets, pop-up sets and original music. Perfect fare for fussy foodies and discerning diners. Bon Appetit!

From Theatre of Widdershins, the company who have previously brought Rumpelstiltskin & The Snail of Destiny, Rapunzel & the Tower of Doom and The Elves & The Shoemaker to Norden Farm.
