Mixed Media Collage

This course explores painting papers for collage using texturing and mark making techniques and using 'found papers' for collage. Collage elements may be a starting point for the work or added as the work develops which can be a more intuitive process.

Working mainly with acrylic, ink and drawing media we’ll start by preparing papers for an undersea or aquarium project, with fish and corals or water plants. Photo-reference will be supplied or bring your own.

Please bring your own materials as indicated below
- Acrylic paint
- Support paper: mixed media paper, heavy watercolour paper or card
- Collage paper: less heavy paper: copier paper, lightweight cartridge or drawing paper.
- Glue (matte or gloss medium, PVA glue or Pritt Stick)
- Scissors and/or craft knife
- Brushes and palette
- Drawing board
- Clips or tape to attach paper
- Paper towel
- Nespaper

Tutor to supply acid free tissue paper.

Suitable for ages 18+ years.
