Oil Pastel as a Wax Resist

Oil Pastel as a Wax Resist
Led by Jo Hall

In this workshop we’ll look at two ways of using oil pastel as a wax resist with watercolour. We’ll start by experimenting with mark making in oil pastel and adding coloured washes before making compositions intuitively or inspired by reference material. Suitable subjects would be buildings with weathered walls, patterned surfaces or summer flowers.
