Paint an Insect or Sea Shell on Black Paper

Paint an Insect or Sea Shell on Black Paper; this can be dramatic using white alone or painting in colour.

Butterflies, moths, dragonflies or damsel-flies all make good subjects. Some reference will be supplied or bring your own photo reference to paint in gouache or watercolour with white gouache. Some black paper will be supplied at cost.

Please bring your own materials as indicated below:
- Titanium white gouache (aka permanent white gouache)
- Gouache or watercolour paints if you wish to add colour
- Brushes including a couple of small well pointed brushes
- Smooth fairly heavy weight black paper
- White pastel pencil
- Water pots
- Drawing board and block of wood or table easel
- Masking tape to attach paper
- Paper towel

There may be a small materials charge (not more than £2).
