Poetry + Place
Exploring places vast and small as a reflection on identity, nature and perspective.
In this workshop, we’ll explore poems about places and how they connect to wider ideas of identity, the natural world and imagination. We’ll study poets across the ages and look at places that both challenge perspectives and celebrate the familiar.
How do we hold the places that have shaped who we are? Do they bring us joy, discomfort or something else? Perhaps our feelings shift depending on the season or weather. We’ll look at how place is explored as something hostile or desirable and use our study as the springboard for our own personal exploration.
Join an intimate group of like-minded aspiring and enthusiastic poets and learn, create and share your work in a safe and supportive space. All levels of experience are welcome.
