Pottery - Terracotta Wine Cooler
This is part of a series of workshops being run by Helen d Evans which is suitable for all abilities.
During the workshop you will use hand building techniques such as slab building and / or coiling to make a Terracotta Wine Cooler.
Cost includes clay, use of materials and x 2 firings.
Work will be fired to Earthenware.
Your work will not be glazed as the un-glazed porous terracotta makes it perfect for cooling via evaporation. Soak for 20 mins, empty out the remaining water and place your chilled bottle of wine in the cooler.
