Resist Techniques using Oil Pastel with Watercolour & Ink
Use oil pastel directly and indirectly for colourful resist effects, and effects resembling prints when we try the transferred line technique. Buildings, natural forms or flowers, anything with texture or pattern would provide good subjects for inspiration. Reference supplied or bring your own.

Drawing board; table easel or block to angle the board
Oil pastels; 12 assorted colours would be fine
Watercolours
Brushes, palette and water pots,
Watercolour paper; hot pressed(HP) or cold pressed (NOT) 300gsm or heavier
Copier paper; essential for the transferred line technique
Few sheets of cartridge paper
Paper towel, masking tape
Black ink, pen and brush
Pencil and a Biro/ball point pen
