River: Tiny Stream to Mighty Mouth

Drawing and painting a river from the fast-flowing streams near its source, past rapids and waterfalls, to its slow meandering path to the sea. For the first session we’ll look at small fast flowing streams and the turbulent water of rapids. Reference supplied or bring your own. Bring charcoal for drawing and your prefered painting medium; pastel, acrylic or watercolour would all be suitable.

Please bring your own materials as indicated below
- Charcoal for drawing
- Painting medium of choice (pastel, acrylic or watercolour)
- Appropriate paper to your medium (pastel paper, mixed media paper or watercolour paper)
- Cartridge paper for charcoal drawing (at least A3)
- Appropriate equipment: brushes, palette, putty eraser etc.
- Water pots
- Drawing board and block of wood or table easel
- Clips or tape to attach paper
- Paper towel
