Rousseau’s Jungle
Rousseau never left France and his jungle paintings were inspired by his visits to botanical gardens and zoos, and also by postcards and book illustrations to which he applied his vivid imagination. After looking at some of his jungle paintings you are invited to create your own jungle scene or to make your version of a work by Rousseau. Reference supplied or bring your own. Please bring your own materials and equipment; any water-based media would be suitable.
Please Bring water-based media (watercolour, gouache or acrylic paints)
Drawing board, a block to angle the board or table easel, clips or tape to attach support, paper towel, pencil, sketchbook for notes/ working out composition, water pots, palette, brushes, watercolour or mixed media paper, pencil
Some paper will be available from the tutor at cost.
