Sunday Stories - Spoken Word Special!

Presented by Norden Farm & Simon Mole, Supported by Apples and Snakes.

Poet Simon Mole is taking over our Sunday Stories slot again with another spoken word special!

Expect poems about ninja skeletons, raps about pug dogs playing football, stories about boys who meet Pacman and girls who can’t stop drumming. With special guest AF Harrold, poet and author of the Fizzlebert Stump series and the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal longlisted The Imaginary, illustrated by Emily Gravett. The Imaginary was the winner of the 7-11 category of the UKLA Awards.

Age Guidance: 4-11 years.

£3 per person.

A.F. Harrold is a children’s author and performance poet who has a beard and strange ideas. He’s written the Fizzlebert Stump series and the kids poetry collection Things You Find In A Poet’s Beard. He visits a lot of schools and shouts poems at kids in assembly. He lives in Reading with a stand-up comedian and two cats.

Simon Mole was the first Poet Laureate for the London borough of Brent, and is a member of the acclaimed poetry collective Chill Pill. Since becoming a father Simon writes increasingly for young people, and his first play for children and families was commissioned by the V&A in 2016; Friends For All is touring with Half Moon Theatre. Catch in at Norden Farm on Friday 13 April at 11.30am and 2pm.

Alongside the stories, Patrick will show you how the magic works and teach a trick or two. But because Patrick is in the magic circle you must promise to keep the secrets!

Reconnect with the Digi Den community via weekly Zoom workshops. Share your creativity, explore music and film editing!

Youth Theatre A (online)

Led by Karen Wallace-Jones

This term the Norden Farm Youth Theatre goes online. Our new Youth Theatre Director, Karen has devised a programme of exhilarating sessions for every group.

The end of term will conclude with an online sharing for each group, that parents and carers will be invited to.

Drama Zoomers

No one needs to feel isolated and bored when we can get together to play drama games with friends, improvise scenes, invent characters, act silly and have fun! Join Karen for an hour of drama each week and escape your house through your imagination!
