Poet Simon Mole is taking over our Sunday Stories slot again with another spoken word special!
Expect poems about ninja skeletons, raps about pug dogs playing football, stories about boys who meet Pacman and girls who can’t stop drumming. With special guest AF Harrold, poet and author of the Fizzlebert Stump series and the CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal longlisted The Imaginary, illustrated by Emily Gravett. The Imaginary was the winner of the 7-11 category of the UKLA Awards.
Age Guidance: 4-11 years.

A.F. Harrold is a children’s author and performance poet who has a beard and strange ideas. He’s written the Fizzlebert Stump series and the kids poetry collection Things You Find In A Poet’s Beard. He visits a lot of schools and shouts poems at kids in assembly. He lives in Reading with a stand-up comedian and two cats.

Simon Mole was the first Poet Laureate for the London borough of Brent, and is a member of the acclaimed poetry collective Chill Pill. Since becoming a father Simon writes increasingly for young people, and his first play for children and families was commissioned by the V&A in 2016; Friends For All is touring with Half Moon Theatre. Catch in at Norden Farm on Friday 13 April at 11.30am and 2pm.

Welcome to the incredible story of The Little Prince, retold by a pilot stranded in the desert. Find out how the Little Prince leaves behind his own tiny asteroid and journeys through the universe, coming face to face with the baffling world of grown-ups!
Once on planet Earth, the Little Prince is welcomed by a mysterious snake and a wise fox before encountering the lone pilot. Together they discover the beauty of friendship and the complexity of love. Based on the world-famous story by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince brings Protein's award-winning mix of dance, humour and spoken word.

Building on our devising skills from last term we will begin to develop our understanding of ensemble in performance. Using extracts from published texts we will use these as a starting point to create our own original Youth Theatre ensemble performance in the Spring.

Sun 31 Jan: Tie-Dye Bags The packs (and accompanying live video) will show you how to design one tote bag. Kayleigh will show you 2 different styles that you can use to design your bag. Each pack comes with x4 assorted colours so everyone will have a unique bag to them. There are worksheets for learning and fun included as well as some gloves and apron to help with the mess!

A class for parents/carers and their children. Connect and bond through movement and breath. Learn yoga postures, a gentle bedtime yoga sequence, meditations based on popular fairy tales and relaxation techniques. No previous yoga experience needed.
You will need one yoga mat (per pair) and one blanket each.
Suitable for ages 4 – 8 years, must be accompanied by an adult.
