This year's exhibition is curated by visual artist Amelia Pimlott and students from BCA college as part of our young creatives project.
Satu Vartiainen and Lydia Pierce present an exciting exhibition.
It includes colourful, expansive, semi-abstract paintings of seas, rivers, mountains, portraits and urban scenes. These contemporary paintings are nuanced portrayals of colour and light. The art shows impressions of landscape and figures to give a different perspective including textural and dynamic work.
John Percy is an abstract artist who works in painting and collage with a number of themes dealing with aspects of choice, decision and chance combined with elements of entropy and chaos.
This exhibition is part two of last year’s Metaphorically Speaking. Here he shows us a limited selection of favourite larger abstract paintings which scan back over a longer period.

The Italic hand has many varied forms, from a basic script to very flourished and ornate lettering. The basic alphabet through to advanced flourishing and effects will be covered depending on ability, together with compositional layout. Suitable for all levels of experience.

Learn about alcohol inks and how to use them. Suitable for all experience levels, even those completely new to painting! You will learn various techniques and applications for these vibrant inks - you'll be amazed at what you can achieve!
