The Carnival of the Animals - Lantern Parade

Join Norden Farm as they light up the town at the annual Lantern Parade on Saturday 6 December from 4.30pm. This year's theme is Our Animal Neighbours!
The Lantern Parade is free to attend and open to all. You don't need a lantern to take part - just head down and celebrate with the community!
Get involved in Lantern Making Workshops throughout November and December - led by SameSky. Our expert lantern makers will guide you through the process to create your own lantern to illuminate at the parade. Then walk alongside spectacular large willow centrepieces as the parade lights up Maidenhead town centre.
The parade concludes with a celebratory concert, bringing everyone together to round off the evening. The Bollywood Brass Band join us with light up costumes and instruments. They merge Dhol beats and brass tunes for an energetic atmosphere.
Plus, we are joined by Beatroots, one of the UK’s longest established community-based Samba drumming groups. Beatroots joined us for our 2022 Lantern Parade and are back again this year to lead the parade through Maidenhead town. Adding more magic to the celebration are stilt walkers joining us from High Voltage Events in light up costumes.
