An exhibition of entries from our art competition for local children, inspired by our Christmas show.

The Elves and the Shoemaker Art Competition

Enter for the chance to win a goody bag and turn on the Christmas Lights at Maidenhead Town Hall! All artwork entered will also be displayed in our Gallery exhibition in December.

How to Enter

  • Draw, paint or create a pair of amazing shoes made from something surprising
  • Alternatively, draw, paint or create an exciting outfit for an elf Don’t forget to decorate your frame!

You can download an entry form here, please remember to include your contact details on the back of your entry.

Entries will be judged in two age groups: 3 - 5 years and 6 - 8 years.

Please send your entries to Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, Altwood Road, Maidenhead, SL6 4PF or drop them in to our Box Office.

Deadline for entries is Tuesday 15 November. Winners will be contacted by Friday 18 November.

A treasure-hunt show giving families an adventure through a strange, magical new world.

You've washed up on a new shore...

Can you navigate through this world where nothing is quite what it seems? The inhabitants of this island make strange noises and sprites hide around every corner. Where do you belong?

Discover your own magical powers in this truly interactive family experience. Join us for a mission which will lead you through puzzles, meeting mysterious characters and steering your team through the choppy seas to search for your new home. 

Come prepared for the elements as much of this adventure takes place outdoors!

Age guidance ages 7 - 11 years.

Zen Drawing (online)

Led by Amanda Schenk

Amanda Schenk is the visual artist behind Norden Farm's much-loved (and Instagrammed) glass corridor artwork in the school holidays. Join Amanda for this new drawing course, aimed at helping to create a sense of calm and relaxation through drawing patterns.

Suitable for all abilities, the workshops will focus on building confidence in your drawing abilities - concentrating on the soothing journey of the drawing experience, rather than the finished drawing.

In each session you'll explore how to produce different types of patterns in abstract drawings - looking at different designs each week.

You will need: paper (plain, no smaller than A5), lead pencil, eraser, sharpener, black fine liner or a pen. Optional is a black marker.

The digital arts club!

Reconnect with the Digi Den community via weekly Zoom workshops. Share your creativity, explore music and film editing!

You will need: Paper to draw or write on and any pencils, pens or art supplies you may like to use. The project will adapt to incorporate any other supplies individuals may have.
