Grand Opening: Wednesday 24 July 10.30am
Our ever popular Beach is back - inspired by the laid back tropical paradise that is Goa.
The Beach has been designed and handmade by Norden Farm with the help of the community.
It's free to play on every day with beachside tables available for snacks and lunch from our Cafe Bar, where you can also find fun activity sheets.
Peel yourself off the beach and get creative with your little ones in our daily Beach Craft session:
Arts and Crafts (45 mins) | £5 per child Monday – Saturday 10am
Or relax with them in the beach hut story den for Storytelling:
Storytelling (20 mins) | £2 per person Monday – Saturday 11am and 1.30pm
For maximum chill out, explore the indoor sensory space in our Gallery, designed for children with SEND and featuring artwork created by local school children.
All of this and a full programme of family films and live events including; a gentle first adventure for babies, young children and their grown-ups with The Paper Moon, an adventure full of clowning, puppets and zany music in Eggs on Legs, and a highly interactive show, bursting with storytelling and songs - Clare Hollingworth and the Scoop of the Century.
With so much on offer the Goan Beach is the perfect place to pitch up this Summer!
Plus get involved at Kite Making Workshops across the school holidays, then see your creation take to the sky!
The workshops are led by specialist kite makers, Community Kite Project.
In these drop-in sessions our practitioners will guide you through the process of making either the Patang Kite – the Indian Fighter Kite, or a classic Trapezoid Kite.
Make and decorate your kite to stand out in the sky at the Community Kite Festival which takes place in Boyn Grove Park on Sunday 1 September.
Workshops are suitable for all the family and tickets are £3.50 per person.
Please note a space must be booked for every person attending the workshop, including supervising adults
Our drop in sessions allow you to come down to the session at any time throughout the day – you don’t need to get there for the start of the session! So you don’t have to rush, but do make sure you leave enough time to get here, get park and get into the session!
Sessions run from 11.30am – 1pm and 2pm – 3.30pm, and at Norden Farm. You can make a kite in around 20 – 30 minutes with a bit of adult support!
