The Maidenhead Beach at Norden Farm

Aloha! The Hawaiian Elvis themed beach is back - all summer long.

Relax at a beachside café table while the little ones play in the sand. With weekday Storytelling (£2 per person) and Arts and Crafts Sessions (£5 per child) it’s the perfect way to while away a summer’s day!

Look out for our brand new feature - a traditional Hawaiian canoe on the shore. Plus don’t forget to say hi to the friendly shark… she’s really very smiley!

Take life at a gentler pace in the Gallery's Secret Cove where you can decorate fishes of the deep and add them to the ocean walls. Get comfy and listen to the sounds of the waves and dolphin chatter while admiring the beautiful birds and tropical textiles, woven by children from local primary schools, or explore the sensory cave made specially for children with SEND.

Family films are screened throughout the holidays, click here to browse the full summer line up.

Keep an eye on our website for details about free summer taster sessions of our brand new pre-school classes - Tutus and Splat! Messy Play.

Grand Opening: Tuesday 25 July from 10am

Join us to celebrate the launch of the beach:

  • Prizes for best Hawaiian / Elvis fancy dress
  • Free 15 minute Little Wrigglers Taster Session in the café bar at 10am
  • Beachside entertainment from Elvis himself
  • Enter our free prize draw for the chance to win a family ticket for one of our summer family shows or films
  • Take photos in our prop-filled Hawaiian photobooth
  • Free tropical juice drink for children - available from the café bar between 10am - 11am (subject to availability)

Jump In! Exhibition – Bee Me

An exhibition created with local schools and inspired by Me and My Bee, a show in the Jump In! Family Arts Festival.

Albert Einstein said that without the bees, humans have four years left to live. We rely on bees to pollinate one third of the crops we use as food.

This special multi-sensory experience for diverse family audiences including children with SEN, explores the importance and plight of bees, and gives ideas for what we can do to help the bee population.
