Twisted Art: Paint and Sip

Led by Angela Mitchell.

An informal social painting class for people who like to relax with a drink as you paint with step by step guidance. Each class will feature a different painting.

Perfect for total beginners, everything you need will be provided. Just turn up in your comfy clothes, grab a drink at the bar and then choose your seat.

Food and drinks can be purchased from our Café Bar. If you are providing your own lunch we ask that you eat this in the workshop space. Only Norden Farm’s catering can be consumed in the main foyer.

Norden Farm is a charity that operates on extremely tight margins and every penny really counts. Income from the Café Bar is essential to support our running costs. If you are able to support the charity, by buying food and drink from our Café Bar when you are here, it really helps.

Do you like to crochet or knit? Or have you ever wanted to learn? A relaxed and creative get together over a drink of your choice.

Suitable for all levels of experience.

Please bring your own project along. Some spare needles and wool will be available for if you just wanted to give it a go!

Metaphorically Speaking Part 2

John Percy is an abstract artist who works in painting and collage with a number of themes dealing with aspects of choice, decision and chance combined with elements of entropy and chaos.

This exhibition is part two of last year’s Metaphorically Speaking. Here he shows us a limited selection of favourite larger abstract paintings which scan back over a longer period.

Introduction to Jewellery Making

Led by Grant Forsyth

Learn the fundamentals of jewellery making and design, including mark making and stone setting. Advanced students are welcome to join and expand their skills and create their own design led work. Materials cost to tutor £28 (approx).

Catching the Light

Satu Vartiainen and Lydia Pierce present an exciting exhibition.

It includes colourful, expansive, semi-abstract paintings of seas, rivers, mountains, portraits and urban scenes. These contemporary paintings are nuanced portrayals of colour and light. The art shows impressions of landscape and figures to give a different perspective including textural and dynamic work.

Calligraphy - The Italic Hand

Led by Stuart Maxwell

The Italic hand has many varied forms, from a basic script to very flourished and ornate lettering. The basic alphabet through to advanced flourishing and effects will be covered depending on ability, together with compositional layout. Suitable for all levels of experience.
