Watercolour 2: Paint a Rose
Led by Jo Hall
In this workshop you’ll use some negative space and some wet in wet techniques to paint a rose.
Either bring a dark background and a rose in a jar and paint from life or work from a photo reference of a rose on the bush with foliage behind it. The tutor will provide some photo references.
Please bring your own materials as indicated below:
- Watercolour paints and brushes
- 300gsm or heavier cold pressed watercolour paper
- Palette
- Water pots
- Drawing board and either table easel or block of wood to tilt your board
- Paper towel
- Small natural sponge if you have one
Some paper will be available from the tutor at cost.
