Aims

To offer a wide range of high quality artistic events and participatory opportunities for all interests in the community and to support both professional and community artists.

Strategic Objectives

  1. Provide an Arts Centre that is welcoming to everyone, whether they come to see, to listen, to perform, to participate, to learn, or just to relax and enjoy.
  2. Present a range of high quality live entertainment including theatre, music, dance, spoken word, family events and comedy, plus film screenings and participatory activities.
  3. Provide support for both professional and community artists.
  4. Create a variety of ways for attenders to participate including: learning opportunities; through classes and workshops for children, young people and adults; and with working opportunities through our volunteer and work experience programmes.
  5. Deliver a high quality education programme encompassing work in both formal and informal education settings and community and outreach projects.
  6. Take work and presence out of Norden Farm and into the community.
  7. Continue building support and enthusiasm for Norden Farm in the community and with audiences.
  8. Engage and support excellent staff and volunteers, to ensure constant friendly and efficient service to visitors.
  9. Maintain constant fundraising effort for on-going individual giving, membership, project grants and corporate sponsorships.
  10. Ensure that the fabric and features of Norden Farm are maintained to a high standard.
  11. Manage the activities and finances of Norden Farm to ensure long-term sustainability and future growth.

We are very grateful to the Rothschild Foundation for funding this well-loved, life changing, project. Sadly, funding has now come to an end. 1 day ago ❤️ SocialArts: The Crafty Group for Older People ❤️ Today marks the end of our SocialArts project which began in January 2017. In the past 2 years this wonderful bunch have taken part in 75 weekly sessions. They have shown their work in 2 exhibitions and created over 1000 pieces of art as a group and individually! A huge thanks goes to our group leader Amelia, and volunteer Rachelle for their dedication and creativity. It has certainly been fun!
