Align and Flow Yoga

Led by Deborah Le Vene-Page.

Align and Flow Yoga is influenced by the biomechanics and heart orientated philosophy of the Anusara Hatha style of yoga. With a specific alignment focus within the flow of postures the practice will tone and strengthen the body, improve posture and create more freedom in the body and mind resulting in a calm and relaxed state of being.

Each week there will be a different theme weaving its’ way through the session, but a typical class starts with breathing techniques to centre and ground, poses to warm up and then progresses to a fun and challenging mix of vinyasa and alignment yoga.

This class is designed to cultivate focus, stamina, strength, and flexibility. Leaving time at the end for a well-deserved relaxation.

Come prepared for an energising class that will also leave you feeling relaxed.

Screen Printing workshop inspired by the Japanese art technique Notan

Led by Berkshire Printmakers

Notan is a Japanese art term that literally means "light, dark harmony". Artists use "notan" to explore the play and placement of light and dark elements as they are positioned next to each other in creative compositions.

This fun, creative workshop explores silkscreen printing using Notan compositional techniques. We will start off with simple paper cut stencils combined with plain screens and monochrome inks to explore light and dark composition elements. In the second half of the workshop we will progress to combining these elements with patterned screens and mid-tones to create harmonious and well balanced prints worthy in a frame.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with some screen printing, all paper, water based inks and our huge library of plain and patterned screens are provided

National Theatre Live: The Motive and the Cue

180 mins

A new play by Jack Thorne, directed by Sam Mendes.

Sam Mendes (The Lehman Trilogy) directs Mark Gatiss as John Gielgud and Johnny Flynn as Richard Burton in this fierce and funny new play.

1964: Richard Burton, newly married to Elizabeth Taylor, is to play the title role in an experimental new Broadway production of Hamlet under John Gielgud’s exacting direction. But as rehearsals progress, two ages of theatre collide and the collaboration between actor and director soon threatens to unravel.

Written by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and designed by Es Devlin (The Crucible), the Evening Standard award-winning best new play was filmed live during a sold-out run at the National Theatre.

Ray Bradshaw - Doppelginger

Multi award winning comedian Ray Bradshaw is forever being told you look just like my mate wherever he goes.

It’s been happening for years and he’s worried about it. Either someone is cloning generic bald men or, there’s a ginger bearded bald man out there who’s doing a bad job of stalking Ray. In his brand-new show Doppelginger, Ray is going to use the latest in genetic research (the internet) to try and put an end to this once and for all.  He’s on a quest to find the person who looks most like him.

Doppelginger is a funny heartwarming comedy show about a silly search for a man with an orange beard who’s follicly challenged.  If you have a bald, ginger bearded friend in their 30s (true at time of writing), then bring them along.  You never know – they could be The One.

Ray’s last show Deaf Com One was a huge success and sold out theatres across the world. The show was all about growing up with deaf parents and as a result every show of Doppelginger will have a BSL interpreter. Ray has previously supported John Bishop on his UK arena tour after John described him as one of the best comedians in the country.

'Bradshaw is raucously funny… captivating, funny and sharply executed' ★★★★★ BroadwayBaby.com

'This years most groundbreaking show' ★★★★ Short.com

'I grinned from ear to ear for the entire hour' ★★★★ Voice Magazine

'Has a clear comedy gift' ★★★★ Edinburgh Evening News

This show will be BLS interpreted.
