This class is suited to those who have been practising for at least 6. My intention for this class is to move our practise forward, explore different avenues and approaches to the traditional postures. We will be aiming to be going deeper into ‘awareness’ and ‘noticing’.
The yoga I teach is an evolution of over 20 years of practice and study, perhaps moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an ‘internal’ sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential approach. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, whilst taking into our awareness fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum wellbeing benefits.
Please bring a blanket, a yoga / Pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing.

This 3 week course is for people with all abilities, whether you want to come and give pottery a try or if you have some experience of working with clay.
If you are new to clay then Helen will guide you through exploring two different ideas, whilst more experienced learners may want to use the time to work on their own projects.
You will spend 2 weeks making a selection of seasonal decorations for yourself or as gifts. The final week will be spent decorating your work with underglazes or glazes. This session will be slightly longer to give you time to decorate your pieces (2.5hrs).
Your work will then be fired off-site and then ready to collect from Norden Farm approximately 4-6 weeks later.
The price includes: clay, use of tools, underglazes, a selection glazes and 2x firing of your work.
All work will be fired to Earthenware.
Please bring with you:
Sketchbook for ideas / with ideas
Pens / pencils
A cloth to wipe your hands on
An apron
Any clay tools you may have
A plastic bag to store your work
Helen will notify you and arrange a date regarding the collection of your work after the course.

Qigong is a system of wellness that enhances a healthy body, mind and spirit.
It is an ancient Chinese way of life that uses exercises with breathing to focus the mind, to gather and increase energy through the body from within. It is a technique that can be useful in daily life for self-care as it calms the mind and hence has a positive effect on the body. Modern research has demonstrated its effectiveness in health improvement. Qigong philosophy has been absorbed into Tai Chi.
Clare, who is a physiotherapist and accredited Tai Chi instructor, will guide you and adapt the movements to be safe and comfortable for the individual. Each gentle, simple movement is followed by a cleansing breath. It can be done seated or standing and to your own level of ability.
The classes are fun, relaxed and suitable to all.
