Paint an Urban Night Scene on black paper: Gouache and/or pastel

The drama of street lights and lit windows, illuminated bridges, buildings and canals are wonderful subjects to depict on black paper with gouache andor pastel.

You may like to tackle Christmas street lights or trees. Some photo reference will be supplied but do feel free to bring your own.

Please bring your own materials as indicated below:
- Pastels andor gouache
- Black paper with some tooth for pastel work, smoother paper is fine for gouache, for the mixed media approach (pastel and gouache) black watercolour paper would be suitable
- White pastel pencil
- Brushes
- Palette (if using gouache)
- Water pots
- Drawing board and block of wood or table easel
- Masking tape to attach paper
- Paper towel

Some black paper will be available from the tutor at cost.
