Draw a Tree inspired by the reed pen drawings of Van Gogh
Bring India ink and a reed pen and a couple of twigs or hollow sticks to make several studies of trees in the landscape.
We’ll take our inspiration from Van Gogh’s drawings to explore mark making and depict the character of our chosen trees. Do bring your own references of favourite trees, or work from those supplied.
Please bring your own materials as indicated below:
- India ink
- reed pen, small hollow sticks or twigs
- Cartridge or drawing paper
- Water pots
- Drawing board and block of wood or table easel
- Masking tape to attach paper
- Paper towel
