Pet Portraits Using Collage (online)

Create a portrait or series of portraits of a a much loved pet over this four week course. The sessions are bite size and are intended for individuals to develop their own work each week and then to carry on in their own time.

No experience required, just enthusiasm!

Week 1
An introduction to collage, making
miniature portraits

Week 2
Drawing your pet and laying the base
colour down

Week 3
Developing your work and making your
it look three dimensional.

Week 4
Finishing off and thinking about the background.

You will need:
A photo or series of photos of your chosen pet
Thick paper, card or a canvas as a base
Pencil and a rubber
A variety of papers: Newspapers, Magazines, Tissue paper, Patterned Paper
Scissors
Scalpel
PVA glue
A brush
