About the event

Norden Farm's Community Lantern Parade will once again illuminate Maidenhead's High Street on Saturday 9 December 2017.

Now entering it's 9th year, this large-scale community arts project has become a firm part of Maidenhead Town Centre’s calendar, and has grown year on year.

2016’s community Lantern Parade engaged with 2192 people across the whole project, with 1245 of those watching and taking part in the parade itself.

Figures supplied by the Town Centre Manager Steph James have shown that total footfall in Maidenhead Town Centre on Saturday 10 December 2016 was 32,647, the busiest day of that week.

During the hours of the Lantern Parade (4.30pm – 6.30pm) the High Street reached a peak of approximately 2,000 people as illustrated in the below graph. High street footfall figures from the hours the Lantern Parade took place are detailed below:

Fundraising

Each year we fundraise over £15,000 for the Lantern Parade, live entertainment and lantern making workshops for schools and families.


Sponsorship Opportunities

This year we are offering two sponsorship opportunities:

Sponsor a Willow Lantern - £350

  • See your company logo on a handmade willow lantern, incorporated into the parade, illuminated for the community to see

  • Credit on event related pages of the Norden Farm website

  • Mention in Norden Farm's weekly e-bulletin, delivered to over 10,000 email addresses, in the run up to the event, with links back to your business

  • Mention in targetted eflyers to 500+ family bookers, in the run up to the event, with links back to your business
