Alice and the White Rabbit

Indigo Moon presents Alice and the White Rabbit for ages 4+ at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts on Saturday 20 September at 11am and 3 pm.

Alice takes the audience on her magical adventure as she chases the white Rabbit back in time on a fantastic spiralling journey into wonderland. Told through shadow theatre, this performance is a dream-like adaptation of the famous tale. On her journey, Alice meets the Cheshire cat, a two-legged dragon and the March Hare at the mediaeval Mad Hatter’s tea party. But she needs to be very careful, as the Queen of Hearts might take her head!!

With Alice & the White Rabbit, Indigo Moon celebrates different shadow techniques and is inspired by the gothic architecture and mediaeval times of the original white rabbit statue which really exists in St.Mary’s Church, Beverley, Eat Yorkshire. Indigo Moon is a theatre company influenced by European, Indian and Indonesian traditions alongside with contemporary techniques. Its performances use marionettes, rod puppets, shadow puppets, live acting and music, enjoyable both by adults and children. Indigo Moon has delighted audiences in many different situations at local, national and international venues, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum.
