Beginners work on a series of projects introducing classic techniques in metalworking including cutting, soldering, filing, polishing and texturing. You will end the course with a set of jewellery. More experienced students are shown new techniques and guided on how to move forward with designs and projects. Suitable for all levels of experience. Karen Carter trained as a designer and illustrator. For many years she worked as a commercial artist. However she has always retained a love of printmaking and painting, returning to these whenever possible.

Explore the pyramids and tombs of ancient Egypt focusing on the artwork, adornment and Hieroglyphics – then create a ceramic tablet with a secret message.
A fascinating project looking at design from various cultures. Focusing on fine details and their origins, participants create mixed media and observational artwork.
Design, paint and decorate one or more ceramic plant pots with designs based on spring time. Then plant them with spring plants to take home.
