The Government Inspector

Anton Antonovich is a mayor in small town Russia.

A government official is on his way to inspect the district, which is a disaster for Anton. The inspector will overlook Anton's misdemeanours in exchange for the odd bribe. But is he quite who he says he is? Or will Anton and his band of buffoons finally get what's coming to them?

This tour is presented by house.

WHY? Nikolai Gogol's hilarious satire is reinvented in a high energy production with a furiously fast Klezmer soundtrack

Mindfulness

Led by Jane Barker.

Relaxed sessions that can be attended as often as you like to fit in with your schedule. Suitable for all levels of experience.

Stepping out of autopilot

Tuesday 3 February

If you look back over last year and most of it is a blur then perhaps it is time to give yourself permission to slow down and 'wake up' to the present moment. If you've forgotten how to be a human 'being', and are just a human 'doing' then come along for a chance to find some stillness and calm.

Dealing with stress

Tuesday 3 March

Stress is a natural physical response to dealing with events that make us feel threatened. Our body's defences kick in with a rapid, automatic 'fight or flight' response. We can't stop life's challenges, but we can learn to respond more effectively and this session will show you tools to help with that.

Self-kindness

Tuesday 7 April

'Be careful what you say to yourself, for you are listening.' For many of us having empathy for other people seems to be much easier and natural than having empathy for ourselves. In this session we will cover why this is and practice some simple exercises to help deal with self-criticism.
