God of Carnage by Yazmina Reza

Translated by Christopher Hampton and presented by Red Hot Theatre. A playground altercation between two eleven year old boys brings their parents together to resolve the matter.

Initially diplomatic niceties are observed but as the meeting progresses and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off.

WHY? An elegant, acerbic and entertaining study in the tension between civilised surface and savage instinct. Reza's sharpest work since Art.
