3D papercraft workshop, make a fun free-standing Character.

Fairytale Craft
Create a beautiful stained glass inspired design based on the fairytales.
Sessions are 45 minutes | Suitable for ages 5 - 11 years | All materials provided.

The Elves and the Shoemaker
Ah, new shoes... delightful on the feet.
Soft dancing shoes, swarthy pirate shoes, silver buckle and silken souls. No one makes shoes like an elf! Elvis Schumacher, cobbler and craftsman, has worked all his life making shoes. But now he’s hit hard times, can anyone help him? Inspired by the Ladybird Book, this is a classic fable.

After volunteering for a brain-imaging experiment meant to locate the part of the brain that lights up when you’re in love, Rob emerges with more questions than answers.
Can brain scans read our minds? Are we our brains? How can you map the mind?
The show includes a specially constructed MRI-hat that will record Robert’s real-time brain activity in the show.

White Feather Boxer
A performed reading from Take the Space who are in development for a new play - the story of a retired boxer who was also a conscientious objector in World War 1.
It is April 1967, the heavyweight boxing champion of the world, Muhammad Ali, defies the US Military by refusing to fight in Vietnam.
Our elderly protagonist hears the news and recalls his own dilemma in 1916 when the Conscription Act was passed in England. He too was at the peak of his career and physical prowess. Can this old champion still be a contender and fight his demons from the past - whilst taming one young demon from the present?
This performed reading follows Take the Space’s debates at Norden Farm where local boxers and Quakers generously shared their stories.
