Beginners/Gentle Yoga

Led by Julie Potter

This class is particularly suited to beginners, those returning to yoga having had a break, those with specific injuries or conditions or even those that consider themselves to be of a certain age that might need a less challenging approach. We will cover general breathing practises, the basic and gentler postures, together with general information and possible discussion around movement and the potential difficulties we might come up against.

The aim will be to relax and enjoy.

The yoga I teach is an evolution of nearly 30 years of practice and study, with a broad experience of many styles and teachers. In recent years I have been moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an internal sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential and felt approach, influenced by teachers who have been inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.

Please bring a blanket, a Yoga / Pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing

Acoustic Guitar - Absolute Beginners

Led by Jim Maving

Always wanted to learn guitar but never got around to it? Want to trade your air guitar skills for real guitar skills? It is never too late to learn. Learn guitar right from the very beginning. This is a foundation course for those with little to no experience of playing guitar. You will learn how to hold a guitar and to make the right noises out of it. The aim of these lessons is to get you playing your first song within 4 weeks of lessons, as no-one takes up guitar to strum random chords, it’s all about the songs.

Luke Kempner: Macho Macho Man

Star of Spitting Image, Steph’s Packed Lunch and with over 10 million views of his online videos, Luke Kempner is one of the UK’s hottest mimics and stand-up comics.

With a hilariously razor sharp roster of contemporary impressions ranging from Piers Morgan and Bojo to Ru Paul, Luke has become a household name and is bringing his highly anticipated brand new show, Macho Macho Man on the road.

Luke is a Macho Macho Man. He came up with the title whilst listening to his Les Mis album for the 28,000th time. Luke tries to work out what masculinity really means with the help of Louis Theroux, the cast of Downton Abbey and even Jürgen Klopp. Luke struggles to fit in, between turning up to a dance audition in football boots to falling in love with a 'cool guy' that sits in the row in front of him at the football. Will Luke ever become the Macho Macho Man he dreams of?

Don’t miss this remarkable one-man show from one of Britain’s most exciting, new comedy talents. Macho Macho Man follows Luke’s previous show House of Faces, which sold out at the Edinburgh Fringe and toured nationwide in 2019. As seen (and heard) on Spitting Image (Britbox), Steph’s Packed Lunch (Channel 4), The Last Leg (Channel 4) The Stand-Up Sketch Show (ITV2), Love Island: Aftersun (ITV2) and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4)

‘Remarkable, tour de force one-man show’ ★★★★ The Daily Telegraph

'Gloriously Funny' Independent

‘A hugely accomplished impressionist, with the technical skill to jump in and out of a huge range of real-life characters in a beat’ Chortle
