This class is particularly suited to beginners, those returning to yoga having had a break, those with specific injuries or conditions or even those that consider themselves to be of a certain age that might need a less challenging approach. We will cover general breathing practises, the basic and gentler postures, together with general information and possible discussion around movement and the potential difficulties we might come up against.
The aim will be to relax and enjoy.
The yoga I teach is an evolution of nearly 30 years of practice and study, with a broad experience of many styles and teachers. In recent years I have been moving away from ‘external’ evaluation of the postures and moving towards an internal sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential and felt approach, influenced by teachers who have been inspired by the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli.
Please bring a blanket, a Yoga / Pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing

We are delighted to present the third Maidenhead Schools: Art, Design and Photography Exhibition showcasing the work made by the students from Maidenhead schools.
An inspiring and compelling collaboration between bestselling author Raynor Winn (The Salt Path) and folk-roots supergroup The Gigspanner Big Band, which features some of the biggest names on the folk scene.
Together they will celebrate the beauty, stories and traditions of the South West Coast Path in old songs with their origins in the South-West, and new words… words which have been written by Raynor especially for this production.
Beginning life as a trio formed by legendary Steeleye Span fiddle player Peter Knight, the line-up has been expanded to form the Gigspanner Big Band, with acclaimed multi-instrumental duo Edgelarks (Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin - BBC Folk Awards Best Duo) and Bellowhead co-founder and melodeon player extraordinaire, John Spiers, joining the fray.
'What a fabulous team they make, together producing a startlingly new musical form with few, if any, antecedents. The flights of musical fancy are staggering in their natural invention' Fatea Magazine
