Intermediate Yoga

Led by Julie Potter

This class is suited to those who have been practising for at least 6. My intention for this class is to move our practise forward, explore different avenues and approaches to the traditional postures. We will be aiming to be going deeper into awareness and noticing.

The yoga I teach is an evolution of over 20 years of practice and study, perhaps moving away from external evaluation of the postures and moving towards an internal sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential approach. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, whilst taking into our awareness fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum wellbeing benefits.

Please bring a blanket, a Yoga / Pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Bring Baby Choir

Singing is a great way to relieve stress and promote well-being.

Meet new people and take some time for you in this new acappella choir for mums, dads, grandparents, carers and their babies!

It is a baby friendly class, created especially so you can bring the baby you care for. Grown ups are in a semi circle (with room for your buggy next to you) and babies can sit, crawl or play on the blanket in front of you.

These uplifting classes are led by conductor/composer (and mum) Marta Radwan. There's no auditions, no singing experience is needed and you don't need to have a 'good voice' - just an openness to have a go! You'll be sure to know the songs and there will even be some which include your little one.

There's also:
* Free on-site parking
* Café (open all day)
* Baby changing facilities

Mums, Dads, Grandparents, Carers all welcome with their babies under 18 months

The Tristan Maillot Quartet

A drum led ensemble celebrating the music of Chick Corea.

Tristan Malliot (drums)
Tom Ridout (tenor sax)
Alex Hutton (piano)
Flo Moore (bass)

Tristan leads this band with an amazing sense of experience, depth and charm!

Originally from France, Tristan has been active on the UK jazz scene since the mid 90s as both sideman and leader.

He has played with numerous leading international stars such as Jim Hall, Stacey Kent, Clare Martin, Jim Mullen, Fred Hersch, Martin Taylor, Stan Tracey, Steve Grossman, Norma Winstone and Bobby Wellins.

Saxophonist Tom Ridout graduated from the prestigious Royal Academy of Music jazz programme in 2016. He has since developed his compositional career releasing his debut album No Excuses with original compositions for thirteen piece ensemble.

He is also a member of the Ridouts band, James Pettinger’s Stablefolk and Ellie Bignall’s Quintet. He is known for his development of the jazz recorder, appearing in the BBC Young Jazz Musician final on the instrument and performing at classical music festivals with Handel on Jazz, a re-thinking of Handel’s recorder sonata arranged for jazz trio.

The music in this show pays tribute to Chick Corea’s legacy and how much of a contribution to the various styles of Jazz he truly dominated.

Watch out for the constant ‘dialogue’ or ‘conversation' of the drums with piano and equally the breath-taking virtuosic saxophone playing of rising star Tom Ridout.
