Intermediate Yoga

Led by Julie Potter

This class is suited to those who have been practising for at least 6. My intention for this class is to move our practise forward, explore different avenues and approaches to the traditional postures. We will be aiming to be going deeper into awareness and noticing.

The yoga I teach is an evolution of over 20 years of practice and study, perhaps moving away from external evaluation of the postures and moving towards an internal sense of the postures, moving away from the more used traditional approach of systemised yoga to a more experiential approach. Whilst looking at traditional Hatha Yoga postures and pranayamas, I will be encouraging fun and freedom within the traditional structure, whilst taking into our awareness fundamental anatomical and functional aspects required by our bodies for maximum wellbeing benefits.

Please bring a blanket, a Yoga / Pilates mat, and wear loose comfortable clothing.

Charlotte (12A)

Dir: Tahir Rana 2021 | 92 mins

Animated biopic of the German-Jewish painter Charlotte Salomon, known for her autobiographical paintings ‘Life? or Theatre?’.

Charlotte comes of age on the eve of the Second World War. Fiercely imaginative and deeply gifted, she dreams of becoming an artist. But the world around her is changing quickly and dangerously.

When anti-Semitic policies inspire violent mobs, Charlotte leaves Berlin for the safety of the South of France. There she begins to paint again, and finds new love. But her work is interrupted, this time by a family tragedy that reveals an even darker secret.

Believing that only an extraordinary act will save her, she embarks on the monumental adventure of painting her life story.

Stars Keira Knightley, Brenda Blethyn, Jim Broadbent, Sam Claflin, Helen McCrory, Sophie Okonedo, Eddie Marsden and Mark Strong.

Socially Distanced Screening

Sound Bath

Led by Janette Moy

Sound Baths are deeply relaxing, anyone can join in. Lay down, cosy and Janette will share beautiful sounds of Gong, Tibetan bowls, Irish Drum (Bodhran), Rainstick, Sansula, Kochi chimes and more. Taking you on a journey into the heart of Sacred Sound.

As you relax and bathe in the healing vibrations, your body resonates within these pure tones and you begin to feel retuned and in harmony. Healing can happen at cellular level, our bodies, mind and emotions draw from the sounds the vibration that is needed to bring us into inner balance.

You will need to bring a yoga mat or blanket to lie on. A small cushion for under head comfort. A blanket to cover up. Anything else you want to bring to make a cosy nest. Eye mask if you use one.
