Zumba (Thursdays)

Led by Annet Bowler

Zumba with Annet is a fun, easy to follow, dance based class. Get fit and exercise in disguise to uplifting Latin rhythms!

This 60 minute class feels more than a party that exercise class. It suits all levels of ability and beginners are very welcome.

Zumba is a total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility.

It can help make you feel happy, healthy, strong, amazing, unstoppable and confident!

Acoustic Guitar - Beginners (C)

Led by Jim Maving

For novice guitarists who can string chords together, strum confidently and move between chords with some ease, to take the next steps. You will learn some classic songs, interesting chords, light music theory and the 12-bar blues.

These classes are split by skills level:

Beginners A - Recently completed the Absolute Beginners course but still some way to go. Yet to tackle bar chords and complicated rhythms.

Beginners B - Well on the way and able to do bar chords.

Beginners C - Almost Intermediate but not quite yet.

If you've never played guitar you need to book on the Absolute Beginners course!

National Theatre Live: Good

David Tennant (Doctor Who) makes a much-anticipated return to the West End in a blistering reimagining of one of Britain’s most powerful, political plays.

As the world faces its Second World War, John Halder, a good, intelligent German professor, finds himself pulled into a movement with unthinkable consequences.

Olivier Award-winner Dominic Cooke (Follies) directs C.P Taylor’s timely tale, with a cast that also features Elliot Levey (Coriolanus) and Sharron Small (The Bay). Filmed live at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London.

The Ocelots

The Ocelots are twins Ashley and Brandon Watson.

They formed during school and started writing their own music pursuing the direction of Bob Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel’s folk sensibilities. They finished school and backpacked around Europe, playing shows and street-performing wherever they could.

In 2017 they released their first EP Till We Get There which hit 1.7 million online streams. In the next three years, backpacking became extensive touring, headlining shows and festivals all over Europe and Australia.

The Ocelots claim inspiration in their music from Paul Simon, Midlake, Cormac McCarthy, Fionn Regan, The La’s, Kings of Convenience and The Shins.

Tango

Led by Tango Journey

Tango is a social dance. All across the country people gather in village halls to socialise and dance to the music of 1930s/40s Buenos Aires.

The course is suitable for beginners and for those that want to refresh the fundamentals of the dance. You will learn how to dance with a partner, with the music and within a group.

You will learn a little about the history and culture of tango and you will be given music and film clips to enjoy at home. Above all you will have fun!
